THEME: Trust and Compassion:
Foundations of Happy Homes”
The “Happy Homes Hong Kong Poetry Contest 2025” as a community engagement activity of the Mission For Migrant Workers’s “Happy Homes HK'' project, aims to engage the public and to promote mutual understanding, respect and fair treatment among employers, migrant domestic workers and the larger society.
Content
The coloring form provided by the organization must be used as a blueprint. The coloring pigments are not limited. Text and drawings can be added to express the message of mutual understanding, respect, and equality.
Categories
1) Non-Migrant Domestic Workers
A. Age15 or below & B. Age16 or above
2) Migrant Domestic Workers
Entry Instructions

The entry must be original unpublished work.

Each person is limited to submitting ONE entry.

The language of the entry must be in either English, Chinese, Tagalog or Bahasa Indonesia.

Each entry is suggested to be between 25-300 words long.

The ”MFMW Limited” reserves the right to advertise and publish the entries.

1. Relevance to the theme 6/6
2. Use of language & words 6/6 (e.g. Grammar, Spelling and Mechanics)
3. Originality & Authenticity 6/6
4. Creativity & Style 6/6
5. Overall impact 6/6
Deadline of Submission
On or Before 16 November 2025 (SUNDAY)
Submission Method

Mail the hard copy to “Mission For Migrant Workers, St. John’s Cathedral, 4-8 Garden Road, Central” with “Happy Homes HK Poetry Contest 2025” on top of the envelope.

Email the soft copy to mission@migrants.net with Subject “Happy Homes HK Poetry Contest 2025”

Awards
Each group has a champion, first runner-up, second runner-up and “most popular entry” awards. Winners will be given a certificate and exquisite gift. All poem entries will be published on “Happy Homes HK” Facebook page for online voting for the “Most popular entry” award from 24 November to 30 November 2025.
Announcement of Winners
Results will be announced on 1 December 2025 MONDAY.

All winners will be informed regarding the details of awarding. All winning entries will be shared in the March Edition of the organisation’s “Migrant Focus” monthly newsletter .
