Emergency Response
Under COVID-19 Pandemic

The Mission For Migrant Workers are supporting migrant domestic workers under the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hong Kong is seeing a developing crisis due to the fifth wave of COVID-19 pandemic. This is affecting all vulnerable communities, including migrant domestic workers who are left abandoned and homeless due to testing positive for COVID-19.

Over the last two weeks, we provided temporary accommodation to those who needed shelter. With the help from the Bethune House Women’s Refuge, we are able to provide temporary accommodation for domestic workers who are COVID19 positive for isolation before government facilities can be arranged.

Thanks to your support in any kind, we are able to deliver care packs to domestic workers who needed different levels of support (most of them are RAT positive) on a daily basis. Since late February, we were able to deliver care packs to over 300 domestic workers with provisions of food, antigen test kits, medicine, Vitamin C, masks etc.

We would like to send our sincere thanks again for your kind efforts in gathering donations.
