新聞稿 (二零一八年三月二十六日) 傳媒查詢: ( 英文 ) 總幹事 Cynthia Abdon-Tellez 2522 8264、9740 9406 ( 中文 ) 社區關係主任 唐曉昕 63069599   外勞事工中心發表《2017年服務報告》 外籍家庭傭工在港仍遇各樣問題 政策改革、積極關注仍然迫切 非牟利組織外勞事工中心剛發表《2017年服務報告》,報告指出,據去年向中心尋求協助或服務的在港外籍家庭傭工的數據顯示,與勞工相關的議題、惡劣的工作及生活環境,以及中介的不良行為,仍是求助外傭面對的最主要問題。 同時,外勞事工中心在2017年期間協助外傭索償的總金額,比2016年增加了三百六十萬元(即17%)。 報告亦指出,中心數個首度推出、針對家居及僱傭關係的項目,獲得良好的反應。這些項目有助於改善外傭的工作和生活環境,並達致公平的僱傭關係。 《2017年服務報告》重點摘錄: 勞工議題 逾半數(52%)尋求協助的外籍家庭傭工面對違反僱傭合約、提前終止合約、欠薪及欠勞工法例包括的福利等問題。 逾四成(42%)到中心的求助人是被提前解僱的,且因「兩星期規定」只准留港14天。 由於他們不被准許工作,沒有收入,所以他們求助時,往往處於非常不安的狀況,而且沒有支持自己的能力。這迫使他們在處理個案時依賴慈善機構的有限資源以解決食、住、交通及續證等費用,直至成功追討或了結個案。 惡劣工作及生活環境 外勞事工中心亦指出,求助者當中,每五人中,就有兩人在港工作期間不獲安排獨立的睡房或寢室。據外勞事工中心於2017年發布的「Pictures from the Inside」研究顯示,部分外籍家庭傭工被逼居住在惡劣的環境,與入境事務處的強制性「同住政策」有密切關係。 除此之外,報告亦指九成求助者工時過長,缺乏休息。逾六成(62%)求助者每天工作達十一至十六小時,約三成(34%)
